About Electric Scroll Book Covers

As a small publishing house, The Electric Scroll is limited in how many authors we can publish - our staff is small, and there are only so many hours in a day. Our desire to see authors feeling the joy of holding their book in their hands far outstrips our ability to make that happen.

Independent authors have a wide variety of skill levels and knowledge. They all need editing, interior design, and a cover for their book, but there are as many ways to supply those needs as there are authors. Authors without the skill - or the time to hone the skill - to DIY must BIY (Buy it Yourself).

Our Author Services division offers editing, interior design (formatting) and bespoke (custom made) covers. If you need just a cover, this is the place to get it. We now offer pre-made covers. They're less expensive than our bespoke covers because there's no time spent in going back and forth over the design. We'll change the author name and the title for you, take off the watermark, and you're good to go.

Most of our covers are made by combining more than one stock photo, and the process of combining creates a unique piece from widely available elements. We never sell a cover twice. A few of our covers contain only one stock image. In this case there is a small risk of someone else using the same image for their book cover.
